The IOQS has traditionally met on a triennial basis, in conjunction with the International Organization for the Study of the Old Testament (IOSOT) or, in some cases, with another international meeting. Meetings typically include several sessions organized around a particular theme, as well as several open sessions.
The lectures of the meetings are edited in a volume and published in the series Studies on the Texts of the Desert of Judah.
